As the owner of Big State Roof Solutions, Sonny McClamrock leads a locally owned, family-operated roofing company built on faith, integrity, and hard work. His vision is to honor God through honest service and by treating every homeowner with genuine respect and care.
Sonny takes a hands-on approach to every project, guiding his team to deliver high-quality roofing solutions, fair pricing, and dependable service. His goal is simple: to protect families, steward resources wisely, and provide the best roof, the best price, and the best service.
Josh - Vice President
Josh McClamrock is the Vice President of Big State Roof Solutions and works closely with his father to help lead daily operations and support the team in the field. If you’ve seen Big State online, you’ve probably seen Josh. He’s often the face of the company’s social media videos, helping homeowners understand roofing in a clear, approachable way.
With a background as a martial arts instructor and personal trainer, Josh brings discipline, focus, and a hands-on mindset to every project. He plays an active role in customer education, operations, and ensuring each job is done right from start to finish.
Dori - Office Manager
If you’ve ever called, messaged, or emailed Big State, chances are you’ve talked to Dori. She’s the one keeping projects moving, answering questions, and making sure homeowners feel supported every step of the way. Dori believes communication is the heart of a good roofing experience, and she works hard to make every customer feel heard and taken care of. Whether you need an update, an estimate, or just some reassurance, she’s always happy to help.
Cheryl AKA the Boss - Director of Business Development
Cheryl serves as Director of Business Development at Big State Roof Solutions and is leading the company’s growth beyond roofing into general contracting. Known to the whole team as “the Boss,” Cheryl builds lasting relationships with homeowners and businesses alike, making sure every client feels confident from the very first conversation.
Jennifer - Social Media Coordinator
Jennifer is the Social Media Coordinator at Big State Roof Solutions, working behind the scenes to capture and share what happens on the roof and in the field. She handles filming, editing, and posting content across the company’s social media platforms, helping turn day-to-day projects into clear, informative updates for homeowners.

I had my roof replaced at the end of May. We talked to several companies about the replacement but ultimately ended up using Sonny and Big State Roof. He was not the most expensive, and certainly not the least expensive but he is from my neighborhood and there were plenty of people that vouched for him and his company. We paid a very reasonable/fair price for the service. They were on time, worked long hours and had the job done in a day and a half. The crew had a supervisor on site and my husband raved about him. Sonny came by himself to do a final walk through. I highly recommend Big State Roof!

Sonny and his crews did a great job replacing my roof using superior GAF composite shingles. Josh even repainted a couple of the exterior window frames on the second floor while the crews were here! They started early and were done by midafternoon, including cleanup. I would recommend Big State to anyone looking for a roof replacement.

After months of obtaining quotes for a roof replacement I chose Big State Roofing Company. They were actually the last company to provide an estimate and the owner Sonny made a stressful decision much easier. He was a calming spirit at the right time. His ability to take the time and address my concerns as well as the detailed information on what to expect.
Fortunately, I was able to utilize my insurance to cover most of the expenses. Big State team arrived early the day of the scheduled replacement and completed the job before the rain came that evening. The difference with a new roof is amazing aesthetically. The noise level is reduced with the type of shingles used as my dog’s storm anxiety appears to have decreased. Everyone on the team has been very helpful and I am grateful that I made the right decision to go with Big State Roofing.

Sonny and his crew did a great job on my house. They replaced bad siding, power washed and painted the entire house and put up new gutters. They even sealed my sunroom windows so I don't have any more leaking. Everything was done quickly and efficiently. I am very pleased with their work and would definitely use them again.

Great job, flashing, replaced bad boards and all vents then painted the vents so they would match! Crew was there early at ^ am and was done, cleaned up and was ready to go home by 5! Could not have asked for a better experience!

I originally heard of Big State Roof from my uncle and I have to say I have been very pleased every since I’ve been in contact with Big State Roof I found them to be reliable trustworthy and consistent. Also, what was important to me was they listen to me regarding my concerns and desires regarding this project, this being the second project I hired them for as a result of hurricane Beryl with those 90 mile wins the issues were addressed satisfactory. I certainly would recommend Sonny for doing business with. He is very honest and explains everything quite well. Pricing was more than reasonable. The only critique that I have is the fact that the roofing crew could have placed a dump trailer under the eve of the roof and organized dropping the tile that they were pulling off the house down directly into the trailer. They put tarps around every part of the house and pushed tiles off the house onto the tarps on the ground. It did slight damage to a couple of my plants in my flower bed and it made the worksite look a little unsightly.
After the work was complete the crew did an immaculate job cleaning up every place around the house. They spent several hours raking and picking up tile and rearranging whatever was moved. Kudos off to those boys for that. In my way of doing things I think having a trailer there to put the tile into would have eliminated about 2 hours of hard work for these boys in cleaning up the yard after they had been up on the roof all day long. If the trailer had been there they would have been very little cleanup and they could have been gone way before dark. I really felt sorry for them because I feel like they were just about to collapse. Overall I would recommend Sonny in a heartbeat. I just think the manner in which some of the work was performed could be modified to make it so much easier on the crew as well as the work site looking professional.

An excellent and honest company to work with. I needed to replace my roof or my insurance threatened to cancel my policy. I received several quotes from roofers nearby but Big State Roof Solutions just gave me a good feeling. They did an excellent job with my roof.
I also asked them to put a cover on my 20 year old pergola and that exceeded my expectations. Both my roof and patio cover are job well done.
